The Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition hosted more than 320,000 tourists during the four-day May Day holiday. One of the park’s main attractions is the China Pavilion. It’s a massive semicircular dome in the shape of a traditional Chinese ornament “ruyi,” which symbolizes good wishes for the future. Covering an area of 15,000 square meters, it’s comprised of four sections that showcase China’s horticultural achievements and intangible cultural heritages.
